David Hornby is currently leading the development of a leading European Ticketing business into the UK & Irish Market.
SecuTix is the ticketing partner for many leading Live Entertainment, Sporting and Cultural organisations such as Edgbaston, Old Trafford, UEFA, The R&A, Everton FC, Stade de France, The Centre Pompidou and is growing its UK business rapidly.
Prior to this he led a strategic consultancy business in the world of major events, entertainment, tourism & hospitality sectors. He led many major event bids for London including bringing the NFL to London to play regular season games. Projects have also included working with; Red Bull, Live Nation, the RFU, London 2012 & Its Legacy Company, Formula 1 and the next phase of development at The O2 with AEG Europe. He was also a Founding Director of Jamie Oliver’s events catering company Fabulous Feasts. Previous to this he was Commercial Director of London & Partners.
When their ticketing contract came up for renewal, Edgbaston Cricket Ground decided on a different solution, approaching not one but two different suppliers Having encouraged Secutix and The Ticket Factory to combine forces to work with their in-house box office team a ticketing three way was formed.
In this session we will explore some of the thinking behind those decisions. What requirements did Edgbaston have? How did Secutix and The Ticket Factory meet those requirements? What were challenges of bringing the three parties together and how were they overcome?
