Opening Keynote Confirmed for #TPC2020
How could Your business grow through the use of performance skills?!
#TPC2020 will kick off with a keynote from Bala McAlinn
Building a Welcome
His Session will focus on building a World Class Welcome, which we all know is quite a task. Bala will come from an angle of using performance skills to motivate your teams and help boost your sales.
After seeing Bala at an event in 2019 we have worked with him to look at some of his core learnings and apply those direct to the live-entertainment industry. Whether you run an arena, a stadium, a theatre or even a business supplying the sector, we all know the power that a positve welcome can bring.
As well as some of the theory that Bala will share in his session, there will also be practical workshops with some hands-on examples on Thursday, includig a session with some interaction too, which we are sure delegates will love.
Bala McAlinn is Director ofBoo Productions & First Ruffian, Ruff Trade Training
All the World’s a Stage: using performance skills to motivate teams and boost sales
Following a career as a performer Bala began working in the visitor attraction industry in 2007 writing and directing shows for London Zoo and the Science Museum. In 2012 he founded Boo Consultancy Ltd a staffing agency that provides actors as promotional sales teams. They work with many leading visitor attractions including Wembley Stadium, Blenheim Palace and the National Gallery where they won a 2019 Institute of Promotional Marketing award for increasing visitor donations by more than 300% whilst also improving visitor satisfaction scores.
In 2018 he founded Ruff Trade Training, a training company that transforms business by transforming people through actor delivered sales, customer service and storytelling workshops.
He will share his insights on what training and motivational methods have the greatest impact and fiscal results, in particular utilising stagecraft, storytelling and improvisation skills.
Breakout Session: Storytelling is Success
In this breakout session following on from his keyote Bala will lead smaller groups through an interactive session covering the essential stories your business needs, what you should be using them for and the simple performance techniques actors use to deliver stories well.
