Matthew Breen has recently joined England Netball as Ticketing Manager, leading both the implementation of its in-house ticketing operation, ticketing strategy and supporting digital projects.
Originally trained as a Stage Manager at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Matthew went on to work in ticketing and marketing roles at Ambassador Theatre Group, before moving to national agency, The Ticket Factory, part of the NEC Group as a Client Services Manager. During his time at TTF, Matthew worked on a range of sporting events, exhibitions, theatre and live events.
Matthew is passionate about the customer ticket-buying experience, industry trends and emerging technologies. A Gold medal win at the Commonwealth Games in Australia, numerous awards including two BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards meant that 2018 was a record-breaking year for Netball, with the sport attracting unprecedented levels of attention and recognition. With the Vitality Netball World Cup just around the corner, the entire team at England Netball are working relentlessly to drive participation, fan engagement and… ticket sales!
