Ian Taylor has worked in live entertainment ticketing and marketing for over two decades, with a background in West End theatre box office management, theatre ticket agency marketing and over 10 years at AKA, an international marketing agency for live entertainment.
Ian has overseen ticketing & sales strategy for the Walking With Dinosaurs and Batman Live international arena tours, as well managing the UK ticketing for Disney On Ice, expanding marketing reach by working with multiple ticket agent partners across the UK. Previous work also included sales & ticketing management for Billy Elliot the Musical, Hairspray, Dirty Dancing, The Old Vic and RSC London seasons, with a client roster including Working Title, Harvey Goldsmith, BBC Worldwide, Sonia Friedman, QDOS, Global Creatures and among many others.
Since 2016, Ian has worked for the creative media agency bigdog, leading the sales strategy & ticketing for our lead client FELD Entertainment, producers of Disney On Ice, Marvel Universe Live and Monster Jam. bigdog also manage campaign planning, social media strategy and curate FELD’s UK customer database, underpinned by insights & planning disciplines at the core of the agency. Over the past 18 months, bigdog have worked closely with FELD to further develop long term customer engagement, comms, eCRM and enhance CX to drive brand loyalty and ticket sales.
2017 saw the launch of bigdog Live, the first customer experience agency for live entertainment, offering our long pedigree to other clients and taking the experience of working on leading entertainment brands further. Alongside this, Ian acts as senior data planner for bigdog agency & clients, and recently achieved the EU GDPR Practitioner (EU GDPR P) qualification (ISO 17024-certificated).
