Geoff Rowe is responsible for the London Transport Museum Operations department which delivers exceptional standards of service to over 400,000 visitors per annum across all our locations and events.
This includes; selling tickets; providing services, information, guidance and support in the galleries; undertaking retail roles; managing school and group bookings; overseeing emergency evacuations. The team manages cleaning and security facilities and provides support services to other departments, acting as a ‘first port of call’ for events, exhibit and facilities maintenance and object moves. The team also coordinates rewarding opportunities for volunteering at LTM.
Geoff started his career in health and fitness, where he worked for eight years after
completing a degree in Sports Technology at Staffordshire University. His first
museum role was as a Gallery Operations Manager at the V&A, where he worked for three years on a variety of exhibitions, including Art Deco and Leonardo. Geoff has worked at LTM since the reopening in 2007 where he started as Head of Operations.
