“Having previously worked in both football and live events, I made the move to Edgbaston 5 years ago and as Head of Commercial now oversee the Ticketing, Retail, Marketing and Partnerships functions across the 3 areas of Warwickshire CCC, Birmingham Bears and Edgbaston venue.
The stadium has recently hosted five matches during the 2019 Cricket World Cup as well as the First Test in the Ashes Series and is now looking ahead to events such as the new Hundred competition and Commonwealth Games in 2022. Edgbaston made the move to SecuTix and The Ticket Factory in September 2019.”
When their ticketing contract came up for renewal, Edgbaston Cricket Ground decided on a different solution, approaching not one but two different suppliers Having encouraged Secutix and The Ticket Factory to combine forces to work with their in-house box office team a ticketing three way was formed.
In this session we will explore some of the thinking behind those decisions. What requirements did Edgbaston have? How did Secutix and The Ticket Factory meet those requirements? What were challenges of bringing the three parties together and how were they overcome?
