With just under 9 weeks to go until Ticketing Professionals 2017 kicks off at the ICC in Birmingham, we continue to confirm yet more great speakers from around our industry who will be providing their insight at the conference.

As part of our Friday morning sessions, generously sponsored by Silver Sponsors Spektrix, the ever energetic Catherine Spencer from Booking Protect will be contributing to the session “The Checkout is Changing” – using analytics from real world ticketing environments to examine conversion ratios, tactics and strategies with valuable insight into how venues are offering extra items at the right time, in the right way and to the right people. This is a must-go-to session for those looking to increase average order value, as she’ll be joined by Eddie Robb and one other speaker with an insight or two to share.

We also welcome Martin Crosier from the AKA Agency, who will be joined by one other speaker, looking at analytics, data and artificial intelligence, along with how these can and are being used by some cutting edge organisations to gain that advantage over others. If you consider yourself a tech or data geek, this session is one for you.

It wouldn’t be a conference without a good debate, would it? Ben Park from Spektrix and Andrew Thomas love to disagree with each other, and TPC2017 will be no different. On Friday morning, perhaps bleary-eyed, they will pick apart modern system functionality and ask “Do we need to lose functionality” – have systems become too wide reaching and perhaps need to look at expanding specific tools rather than add more? Using in-app analytics from the Spektrix system Ben will present his view and how their development strategy is being driven by facts.

Ticketing Professionals has increased its International reach in 2017, with more than 19 countries currently represented. As in 2016 we will host a breakout International Panel discussion on Thursday afternoon. We are delighted to have Doug Smith, SVP of Business Operations from Ticketmaster UK as our chair. He will be teasing out the trends, technologies and threats from our panel of International ticketing folks.
